The Town of Montreal West would like to inform you that the City of Côte-Saint-Luc and Hydro-Québec will be felling dead and dying trees on Côte Saint-Luc Road, west of Sheraton Drive (on Côte-Saint-Luc’s territory).

The ash and buckthorn trees in this area must be removed for safety reasons. New trees will be planted as part of Hydro-Québec’s ongoing initiative to replace ash trees.

Work is scheduled to take place on Monday, February 24 and Tuesday, February 25, weather permitting, and may cause noise in the immediate area.

Planned service interruption

Hydro-Québec has announced a planned service interruption on Monday, February 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, in the following areas:

  • Sheraton Drive
  • Crestwood Avenue
  • Banstead Road
  • Rugby Place (n° 41 and 45)

This power service interruption is necessary for the tree felling work Hydro-Québec will be undertaking on Côte-Saint-Luc Rd. Residents in the affected area will also receive a phone notice from Hydro-Québec at least 24 hours before the planned interruption. Water will not be cut during this time.

Hydro-Québec suggests that all appliances and electronic devices be unplugged during a power outage to avoid short circuits or other damage when service is restored.
