Theme: Tight-Knit

We invite merchants and residents to participate in our flagging contest! Show your blue, white and yellow and your creativity to celebrate Quebec's national holiday at home!

Prizes will be awarded to the winners! The deadline to submit your photos is June 23rd at 6 p.m.

June 23, 2021 Activities

12 p.m.: Opening - Tribute to the Flag & Patriotic Speech by Kathleen Weil (on our Facebook page)
1:00 - 1:30 p.m.: Story Time with local authors Pat Nicholson and Sarah Brunel in collaboration with the Children's Library (via Zoom - reservation on Amilia)
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Tight-knit presentation with Bruno Stenson (via Zoom - reservation on Amilia)
The tight-knit presentation will address all kinds of subjects of Quebec, our history, our cultures, our traditions to celebrate our pride and is especially addressed to our elders.
3:30 p.m.: Learn how to make a kite (via Zoom - reservation on Amilia)
Online art activity and the list of supplies will be provided on our website.
4:00 pm: History and infunces of traditional Québec music (Sean & Jonathan) (via Zoom - reservation on Amilia)
6:45 pm: Family Trivia (via Zoom - reservation on Amilia)
Online and interactive experience, prizes will be given to the winning families and participants. 
8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.: Swindlers Show (1h) (via Zoom - reservation on Amilia)
A musical performance celebrating Québec culture and influences. 

Fingerprint activity: A fun painting activity for everyone! May the luck of the Irish be with you!

Rainbow paper spinners: These spinners are easy to make and will make for a lot of fun! 

Salt painting: Here is a fun alternative to traditional painting! All you need is glue, salt, food coloring, and imagination. Enjoy!

Moon sand: For those of us missing making sand castles at the beach, this is a great alternative! Follow the recipe and create your very own moon sand to play with at home. 

Sensory bottles: These sensory bottles are an entertaining activity to create and play with! If you need a timer, some decorations or just a fun thing to do, this is for you! The best part: you can customize them! Here is another one.

Murder Mystery

Calling all detectives! The Town of Montreal West is in dire need of your help.

Please join us on Saturday June 12th at the Montreal West Arena, starting at 2pm to uncover the mystery. Be ready to find clues around the Town to solve the mystery. 

Reserve your time slot on Amilia; one per team (team: 2 to 4 players or 1 family). The activity should last approximately one hour. Recommended for adults and families with children 8+.
