About Concertation Montréal (CMTL)

Concertation Montréal’s mission is to develop the region through consultation. To do this, it brings together socio-economic leaders and elected municipal officials on the Island of Montreal to launch and support innovative and strategic regional initiatives.

CMTL’s actions fall into two main categories: the development of human potential so that everyone can contribute to the development of the Montréal metropolitan community, and the ecological transition so that our city can become a true model of sustainable development.

Development and innovation are at the heart of CMTL’s actions. Its initiatives are aimed at responding to well-defined societal needs or issues that are not already being addressed by other Montréal organizations. To do this, it acts as facilitator to ensure better coordination of ongoing local actions and contributes its expertise in a range of sectors, including the ecological transition, children and youth, academic achievement and skills for the future, parity and equality, diversity, education and the sciences, youth and governance.

The organization is funded by the urban agglomeration of Montréal through the Fonds de développement des territoires of the ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation. CMTL is also supported by Status of Women Canada, the ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation and the ministère de l’Immigration, de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion.
