The City of Montreal is responsible for the production and distribution of potable water to the Town of Montreal West. Testing and monitoring is carried out regularly to detect any presence of bacteria, metals or other pollutants, as well as to measure mineral content (water hardness).
The annual water tax is calculated based on water consumption. If you require help reading your water meter, please contact Public Works. In the case of a broken meter, a new meter will be provided and installed for you by the Town.
Residents should contact Public Works at least 3 business days in advance of the anticipated work to book an appointment with the Town plumber. Please note that calls made less than three business days in advance of scheduled work are likely to be denied. An additional charge to a resident may result from improper planning for residential plumbing work.
