From fake news to videos of robots pretending to be politicians, there is rising concern over the amount of misleading information online. On March 12, Scott DeJong, PhD candidate in Communication studies at Concordia University, will break down what all of this false stuff is, where it comes from, what harms it is causing, and - most critically - how we should respond to it. It can feel overwhelming to sift through all the information online, and this workshop should help you better understand the blurry lines between fact and fiction on the Internet.
