The Town is proud to announce that Davies Park will be renamed in honour of our own Paula Cordeau, who recently retired after nearly 40 years of dedicated service.

The choice of location was clear. Davies Park is at the centre of her career: her workplace at the Community Centre was there, she taught TRX classes in its chalet, and she helped host many of the Town’s events within its grounds.

Throughout her remarkable career, Paula wore many hats, most notably as Director of Recreation and as a fitness instructor. She was instrumental in building the Recreation Department from the ground up, helping shape it into the vibrant and successful team it is today.

More than her titles, Paula brought heart, passion and energy to everything she did. Her impact on our community goes far beyond her professional achievements, she has left a lasting mark on the lives of countless residents.

This renaming also marks a historic first, this will be the first park in our community to be named after a woman.

Over the coming months, the Town will begin the process of updating all signage and communications to reflect the new name: Paula Cordeau Park.
