The annual tree giveaway is back! This year, Montreal West residents may purchase a tree for a $20 administrative fee until April 30, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. A limited quantity of trees will be made available on a first come, first serve basis. Residents must plant the trees on their own property (instructions will be provided). Note that these trees cannot be planted on land that belongs to the Town, i.e. the area between the property line and the sidewalk.
Which species options are available?
The species options being offered this year are indicated below. You will be asked to provide your second and third choice of species in the unlikely event that your first choice is not available.
- Malus makamik
- Ginkgo biloba ‘Princeton Sentry’
- Quercus rubra
Trees can be ordered directly from Amilia. When you place your tree order, you will be able to pay for the tree by credit card in the online checkout. You will be required to create an Amilia account or log into your existing Amilia account with the Town.
Alternatively, you may call Public Works at 514-485-8597 to place an order.
Orders will be accepted until April 30 at 4:30 p.m. or until quantities have run out. Maximum of one tree per household. Only payments by Visa or Mastercard will be accepted.
We will send you a confirmation by email and provide further instructions after the ordering deadline has passed.
