Due to poor air quality, Montreal West is closing its outdoor pool until June 26th at 1 p.m. The closure may be extended based on public health recommendations. We are doing this for the health and safety of our staff and the public.
In line with public health recommendations, we advise residents to avoid outdoor activities where possible. Please stay indoors
Also, please note the following recommendations from Health Canada:
- Leave your doors and windows closed, if the temperature in your home is comfortable.
- Find a place in your community where the air is clean and fresh.
- If you must spend time outdoors, wear a tight-fitting respirator (such as an N95 or equivalent) that does not allow air to pass through openings between the mask and your face.
- Pay particular attention to the people in your care and remember to check up on those around you who may be more vulnerable to smoke.
