UPDATE (2025-04-03 at 2 p.m.): Public Works will be on-site to undertake repairs tomorrow, April 4, 2025 starting at 6 a.m. These repairs may result in a water service interruption for residents in the area.
A watermain break occurred at the corner of Ballantyne S. and Avon at 4 a.m on April 3. Public Works crews responded immediately to reduce water pressure, minimizing the risk of flooding and preserving the drinking water supply. Residents are asked to avoid the area while repairs are underway.
In the meantime, residents living in the Center and South parts of Town may notice that the water pressure is reduced and/or that the water is murky or discoloured for the next 24-48 hours. If that is the case, please let the cold water run until it is clear and colourless.
We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available and will ensure that the repairs are completed as quickly as possible.
