The Legion Rink will be closed from January 9

Considering the current situation and the new restrictions related to the decree of last January 6, the Town of Montreal West has to close the Arena and apply new measures to slow down the COVID-19 spread. These measures will be in effect from Saturday, January 9 to Monday, February 8.

  • The Legion Rink will be closed, any rentals that have been placed will be refunded.
  • Exterior skating rinks (Davies Park, Hodgson Field, Rugby Park) will be open from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Rinks with boards will only allow hockey practice between people from the same family group who live together in the same residence or solo. A limit of 12 skaters applies on ice surface.

To help offset the closure of the Arena and provide more free, safe, and fun activities for residents during the pandemic, the Town will be increasing its exterior winter facilities offerings (addition of more skating rinks at new parks, a snow mountain for children to sled on, clearing the running track at Hogdson Field as well as adding a semi groomed snowshoe/cross country path in Strathearn Park).
