Grand spectacle du Québec

Under the theme « Tout le Québec à l’unisson », the Grand spectacle de la Fête nationale du Québec will be televised this year.

Don’t miss it on Tuesday, June 23rd at 8:00 p.m.: https://www.fetenationale.quebec/fr/a-propos/grand-spectacle-2020

Local activities

Due to the pandemic, there will be no gathering to celebrate Quebec’s national holiday this year. We have planned alternative activities for which you will not need to leave your home.

Enter one of the following contests for a chance to win a prize!

  1. Share a video of your talent as a spoon player.
  2. Compose a poem on the theme of solidarity in our community and province during this pandemic.
  3. Share your make-up skills in the colours of Quebec – blue and white.

How do I enter the contest?

Please fill out the form below to enter the contest. Entries must be received by June 24 at 4:00 p.m. The contest is open to Montreal West residents only. Winners will be randomly selected and contacted by email. All photos submitted as part of the contest may be used on the Town of Montreal West website and Facebook page as well as in its promotional material.

Other Activities

See you at 7pm on your balcony!

Let’s pay tribute to essential workers on the frontlines and behind the scenes during the COVID-19 pandemic throughout the province. This includes hospital and pharmacy staff, first responders (police, fire, and paramedics), grocery and hardware employees, restaurant staff, delivery and truck drivers, transit and taxi operators, cleaners, support workers serving the homeless and others in need, as well as civil servants at all levels of government.

During this difficult time, lets come together as a community and show our support by making some noise:  play an instrument, ring a bell, blow a whistle, bang on pots and pans or clap your hands!

To participate, just step outside on your front step, driveway, balcony, or lean out a window. Make some noise for essential workers on Wednesday, June 24th from 7:00 pm to 7:05 pm.
