The Town of Montreal West is pleased to announce that local family business TERRONE will be the relocating to the new Sports and Recreation Centre! As the café in the new space, TERRONE will continue to offer authentic Italian food, premium coffee and meals-to-go. Run by sisters Patty and Francesca Terrone, this delightful shop offers customers a wide array of top-quality Italian products, from frozen lasagnas to freshly baked cornetti and espresso.
“Our products are sourced from local Montreal businesses that use quality ingredients and authentic recipes,” says Patty. “We know good Italian food, so if it passes our taste test, we can promise our customers that they will like it too!” TERRONE’s promise of quality food aligns with the Town’s wish to offer healthier alternatives to snacks and meals more typically found at arenas and in recreation centres.
The new TERRONE will have both indoor and outdoor spaces with seating where snacks and meals can be enjoyed on-site. Equipped with a fridge, sandwiches will be part of the offering. “We look forward to offering the community a place where they can gather to connect over food,” says Francesca. “We love our clients and especially cherish Saturday mornings when many come together for coffee and a snack. We can’t wait to welcome them at the New Sports and Recreation Centre!”
“We are thrilled that TERRONE, a well-established business in Montreal West, will be the café at the new rec centre serving wholesome foods and snacks. This announcement is a significant milestone in the completion of the new centre, and we cannot wait to open our doors together,” says Mayor Masella.
The New Sports and Recreation Centre will be a modern facility that will serve as the hub for sports and recreation for the community. It will be accessible for those with reduced mobility, built according to green standards, resistant to the effects of climate change and will feature a 25-metre outdoor swimming pool, a regulation-sized rink, a gymnasium, offices, and kitchen facilities. The new centre is scheduled to open in 2025.
Join us in celebrating this milestone as we look forward to welcoming TERRONE to the new Sports and Recreation Centre!
