UPDATE November 28, 2024 3:30 p.m. – Repairs to the watermain have been successfully completed and Westminster Avenue is now reopened. However, final road repairs are still needed and, weather permitting, are scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2024. As a result, Westminster Avenue will be closed between Nelson and Curzon on Monday December 2, 2024 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to complete the work.
Parking
To facilitate detours, parking will be prohibited on the following streets as of Monday, December 2, 2024 from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Brock between Curzon and Nelson
- Strathearn between Curzon and Nelson
- Nelson between Brock and Strathearn
- Curzon between Brock and Strathearn

Westminster Avenue will be closed between Nelson and Curzon from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. as of Thursday, November 28. The closure is necessary to carry out urgent repairs on a watermain break that may take up to two days to complete.
Parking
To accommodate the detours, parking will be prohibited on both sides of Strathearn and Brock between Curzon and Nelson, as well as on Nelson east of Westminster and on Curzon west of Westminster during the same period.
Detours will be clearly marked with signage to guide motorists through alternative routes.
Water Service Interruption
Please note that buildings on Westminster between Nelson and Milner may experience an interruption in water service between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
