After months of hard work, we are pleased to announce the launch of our brand new website. The updated site includes a host of new changes that provide our residents with a clean and intuitive browsing experience. Hours of brainstorming with our employees and Council, combined with focus groups with our residents led to an updated site map that’s seen our content broken down into four main sections: Our Town, Resident Services, Finance & Administration, and Recreation.
We’d like to thank our dedicated staff, Council, residents and local web agency Pénéga for their collaboration on this project.
Overview of the main changes
A new uncluttered design built around intuitive drop down menus improves site navigation and easy access to clear and updated information. A useful links section provides quick access to the Town’s most visited pages and a prominent search bar on the homepage allows our residents to easily find the information they are looking for.
Fostering Montreal West’s well-known community spirit, large images of the Town and its residents are featured across the website – on the homepage and at the top of individual pages. These images will be changed on a regular basis to showcase the Town throughout the different seasons.
In addition to updating the content of our website, the overhaul also saw the integration of new features such as:
- an interactive map of the Town
- online forms that can be filled out at any time of the day
- an events calendar that clearly informs you of the events taking place in the Town
- a fully responsive and browser compatible website
Our popular e-bulletin has also received a much needed facelift. Residents are encouraged to sign up to it as well as to our social media accounts to keep in touch with all important town updates.
