The Town invites residents to attend an information session on Thursday, June 12 to learn about proposed changes to improve safety and traffic flow around the Westminster level crossing.
In 2024, the Town launched a multi-stakeholder initiative to improve safety in this busy area characterized by high volumes of car traffic, pedestrians, cyclists, and three intersecting train lines. As part of the effort, a traffic study was conducted around the Montreal West station.
The Town is moving forward with several recommended improvements. These changes will first be introduced as temporary measures to evaluate their impact before any permanent implementation.
We will be holding an information session to present the proposed reconfigurations and answer questions. We invite all residents, commuters, and stakeholders to attend and share their feedback.
We would like to thank Royal West Academy, CPKC, SPVM, STM, EXO, WSP and Transport Canada for their collaboration.
Date: Thursday, June 12, 2025
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: Music Room at Town Hall (50 Westminster Avenue South)
