Hydro-Québec Work Notice

June 03, 2024

Hydro-Québec is currently carrying out work on vegetation in Montreal West to prevent power failures and improve service quality.

Over the next few weeks, Hydro-Québec forestry technicians will be carrying out an inventory of the trees and branches affected by this operation and, if necessary, discuss the matter with the owners concerned. They will then carry out the necessary pruning and felling of trees that are an impediment to the power grid or at risk of falling on the grid during weather events.

The debris will be left on the ground in compliance with the standards governing the work and designed to promote biodiversity. It will be the responsibility of the resident to dispose of the debris.

Since improving network quality is Hydro-Québec’s number 1 priority, they are committed to reducing the number of outages caused by vegetation by 30% by 2028. In order to achieve this, they need your help!
