May 04, 2022

This year’s annual mobile household hazardous waste collection point will be taking place at Public Works on Sunday, May 15 from 9 am to 5 pm. Residents wishing to dispose of dangerous materials such as paint, batteries, chemical products, and fluorescent light bulbs may bring these items to the mobile collection point where they will be sorted by staff and disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. To view the full list of accepted and refused items, please consult our webpage on household hazardous waste.

When dropping off your waste please bring proof of residence on the island of Montreal and follow instructions given by staff at the site. If you are coming by car, the waste will be retrieved directly from your trunk and you will be asked to stay inside your vehicle. If coming by foot or by bike, you must wear a mask, maintain 2m distance, and can form a separate line on the sidewalk. Further details can again be found on our household hazardous waste webpage. We thank you for your cooperation.

Please note that Public Works cannot accept hazardous waste on any other day of the year.
