Daytime and Evening Parking

Street parking is permitted throughout Montreal West between 6am and 2am unless signs indicate otherwise. The maximum amount of time you are permitted to park your vehicle in the same space is 4 hours, unless signs indicate less.

*Please note that the street parking hours end at midnight and not 2 am for the following streets: Ronald, Roxton and Westminster.

Overnight Parking

Street parking is not permitted in Montreal West between 2am and 6am without a permit (between midnight and 6am for Ronald, Roxton and Westminster).  Visitors who need to park on the street during the overnight hours must contact Public Security 514 630-1234 for permission, or submit their request using the online form. *Please note that vehicles with overnight permits are not exempt from adhering to regular daytime parking restrictions.

Daytime Permit

This permit is available to residents who would like to park their vehicle in one of the Town’s municipal parking lots for long periods of time during the day or night. The permit allows 24 hour parking in three of the five municipal parking lots, and is available to Montreal West residents only. The “Daytime” permit can be purchased at the Town Hall administrative office on a monthly ($30/month) or yearly basis.

Merchant Permit

This permit is available to Montreal West business owners and employees who would like to park in a municipal parking lot for more than the 2 hour maximum. The "Merchant" permit allows daytime parking in one of the municipal lots, located at the corner of Milner and Percival, and can be purchased at the Town Hall administrative office on a monthly ($12.50/month) or yearly basis.

Snowstorms

During and after snowstorms, residents are asked to respect all temporary “No Parking” signs placed by the Public Works department for the purpose of snow removal. Snow removal hours are between 6am and 6pm and can take place on any day of the week. Residents can help by refraining from parking their vehicles on the street whenever possible, in order to permit the free passage of snow removal equipment. Vehicles impeding snow removal can be fined and towed. Also note that sidewalks must not be blocked by vehicles parking too close, or by vehicles overhanging from a driveway onto a sidewalk. Side walk snow plows need the entire width of the sidewalk in order to safely clean it.
